KATRINA VIRGONA

Inspired by the ritualistic collection and containment of hair, this family of forms further extends my interest in the creation of memorial objects and personal keepsakes.

Katrina Virgona works three dimensionally with a diverse range of materials including paint, wire, wood, fur, hair, felt, various fibres and fabrics. She has completed two Bachelor degrees majoring in psychology and visual arts. Katrina has been teaching at Curtin University since 2002, and she also conducts textile workshops in local communities.
